Dear Vita Poetica friends,
This year has been significant for Vita Poetica as we celebrated our five-year anniversary and began looking toward the next five.
In these fraught times, it’s the storytellers—the keepers of history, culture, and imagination—who capture the moment and kindle our spirits. This work has been a haven of hope for us at Vita Poetica, and we hope you, our readers, similarly find comfort and kinship within our pages.
In 2025, we’ve
released our first-ever print edition of the journal (which we think makes a great gift!)
welcomed over 300 submissions of art, poetry, and other media
congratulated four editors on their next steps and welcomed four new ones to the team
been nominated for the AWP Small Press Award thanks to our high quality, commitment to multi-media-based accessibility, and expression of our stated values
We’ve seen our readership through some difficult times this year, and we’re grateful to be part of your stories as we embrace “every sort of spiritual inquiry, including atheistic inquiry, through art,” as described by a contributor.
We plan to continue this work in 2026, and we hope you’ll join us!
