Food Journeys

While travel to far-flung destinations is off the table for a while, we can still seek out new experiences by bringing the flavors of faraway places into our homes. Choose your own adventure from this curated list of recipes and local markets, and we'll swap notes with each other afterward. This is an individual exploration on your own time followed by a virtual happy hour conversation to share our experiences (and photos if you like) with each other.

Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the event.

Donations Welcome: There is no obligation, but if you feel led, contributions of any amount are appreciated and can be made through the donation page on our website. Donations for this event will go to Vita Poetica to help us hold more events like this in the future.

Leader: Julie Wan has written about food for various outlets and has been a guest on public radio show The Splendid Table. She's especially interested in the anthropology of food -- how the way we eat reveals so much about our culture, society, and identity.
