In addition to meeting each other, we also have the honor of welcoming our first guest speaker, Deborah Sokolove, who will be speaking to us about creativity and spirituality. She will share from 4:30-5:00, and you won't want to miss it! Some of her books will also be available for purchase at the event.
Deborah Sokolove is a mixed-media artist whose works engage mystery and presence. Recently retired as the Director of the Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary, her books include Sanctifying Art: Inviting Conversation between Artists, Theologians, and the Church, and Performing the Gospel: Exploring the Borderland of Worship, Entertainment, and the Arts.
